Remake is the word of the day as another PS5 entry for a popular PSP RPG is all but confirmed at this point. 2006’s The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky SC (second chapter) is the next Nihon Falcom set to receive the remake treatment following the release of 1st Chapter.

Those who’ve already finished Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter ahead of its release on September 19 came across a post-credits scene that almost certainly teases a remake of the second chapter. Since it contains massive spoilers, we won’t embed the leak here, but curious souls can view it over on Reddit.

This doesn’t come as a huge surprise because Trails in the Sky SC remake was teased before, but the post-credits scene in the upcoming game pretty much confirms it.

Trails in the Sky SC first released in 2006 for PC followed by a PSP release. It wasn’t until 2015 that an English version saw the light of day. The second chapter was also ported to the PS3 and PS Vita.

We expect Trails in the Sky SC PS5 remake announcement at the Tokyo Game Show 2025, which kicks off on September 25th. And in related news, it looks like PS3’s Yakuza 3 is also getting a remake.
