Kojima Productions revealed a stunning teaser for its upcoming Microsoft-published game, and it looks like it’s headed to PS6. OD‘s “Knock” teaser trailer has everyone talking about PS4’s PT, which was a 2014 playable teaser for the canceled PS4 exclusive Silent Hills.
Kojima’s OD being prepared for ‘players everywhere,’ likely targeting PS6 as well
The teaser in question can be viewed below:
Kojima describes OD as “a game and at the same time a movie and at the same time a new form of media.”
Although OD looks stunning, it won’t be using the Decima engine that we’ve become accustomed to in Kojima games. Decima is made by Sony’s Guerrilla Games and OD is a Microsoft-funded project. The game has settled for Unreal Engine 5.
That said, Xbox CEO Phil Spencer has hinted that OD will release on all platforms — something the game’s own key art and teaser also reiterate with the tagline, “For all players and screamers.” “We have one goal in mind: to bring Kojima’s vision to life for all players everywhere,” Spencer said on Kojima Productions 10th Anniversary livestream.
As for OD, Kojima has warned that it’s “very scary.” The game stars Sophia Lillis, Hunter Schafer, and Udo Kier.
