A Street Fighter movie is in the works at Warcraft and Detective Pikachu film studio Legendary, and it looks like the movie has found its directing team.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Australian filmmakers Danny and Michael Philippou, who are twins, are set to direct the Street Fighter movie. They previously directed the upcoming A24 horror film Talk to Me. The Australian movie makers who got their start with a YouTube channel called RackaRacka are said to be in “final negotiations” for Street Fighter.
According to the report, there is a “short list” of writers being looked at for Street Fighter, and conversations with those people–whoever they may be–are said to be underway.
