A limited-time PS Store deal is offering a universally-acclaimed PS4 game, which also released on the PS3 and PS Vita, for just $0.99. Playdead’s Limbo needs no introduction, but if you haven’t played the game yet, picking it up on the PS4 at this price is a no-brainer. Limbo is playable on PS5 via backwards compatibility.
PS5, PS4 players shouldn’t pass up this $1 Limbo PS Store deal
We highly recommend that players snag this discount even if they don’t intend to play Limbo anytime soon. Besides the fact that it is a fantastic game that doesn’t warrant a second thought for $1, Limbo is at the risk of being delisted as a result of a high-profile legal spat between Playdead’s founders Arnt Jensen and Dino Patti.
We’ll spare you the details to keep this article on point, but the gist is that Patti’s departure from Playdead was followed by accusations of copyright infringements, which he disputes.
Back to Limbo. The game is a puzzle platformer in which a boy searches for his sister. Playdead describes it as an “eerie black-and-white 2D sidescroller that features elements of film noir, terrific horror, and haunting imagery that adds increased depth to the game’s minimalist and ambient gameplay.”
The offer will end on September 4. If you want to pick up Playdead’s Inside along with Limbo, then PS Store has just the bundle for you for $2.69.
