A fan favorite 2008 PS3 action RPG is getting remastered for modern platforms including PS5, publisher THQ Nordic has announced. Sacred 2: Fallen Angel — the second game in the Sacred series — will get another outing at an unspecified date in 2025.

Sacred 2 Remaster will also serve as a definitive edition that packs all DLC/expansions and previously-released updates into one package. New features include:
- Smoother, more responsive combat
- Modern UI and full controller support
- Enhanced textures, lighting effects, and view distance
- Community-driven fixes and improved stability
“In this remaster of the beloved action RPG Sacred 2: Fallen Angel, players return to a massive fantasy realm filled with hundreds of quests, dangerous dungeons, and unique combat arts to master,” reads a PS Store description, where the game is available to wishlist now. “Battle monstrous creatures, uncover ancient secrets, and shape your character through loot, leveling, and deep customization.”
We’ll find out in due course if Sacred 2 Remaster will come with a different trophy list than the PS3 version.
The original game released to overall positive reviews and garnered quite a fan base. Sacred 2: Fallen Angel was also a sales success.
The last new game in the series was 2014’s Sacred 3.
