Sony is celebrating Gamescom this week with a PS Store sales promotion that gives solid discounts to some of the best PS4 and PS5 games. That includes this first-party PS5 remaster of a PS4 game that released this year.
Days Gone Remastered is already on sale on the PS Store
Originally developed by Bend Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, Days Gone Remastered is currently 25% off on the PS Store. That brings the price down to $37.49 from its usual $49.99 price tag. Players who want to take advantage of this deal will definitely want to act fast. The offer ends on August 21 at 2:59 a.m. ET.
“Fight to survive an environment ravaged by a deadly pandemic as former outlaw biker, Deacon St. John,” reads the game’s PS Store description. “Risk the threats of the Broken Road on the back of your trusty Drifter bike as you face terrifying hordes of relentless feral Freakers – as well as dangerous gangs of humans.”
This remastered version features several quality of life improvements. That includes enhanced visuals like increased foliage draw distances, improved lighting, and VRR support. For those who own a PS5 Pro, it is PS5 Pro Enhanced, which means it utilizes the newer console’s hardware for increased performance.
When Days Gone was originally released for the PS4 back in 2019, it was met with mixed reception. According to the review aggregate site Metacritic, it received an average score of 71 across 109 critic reviews. In our review, we gave it a 9 out of 10.
“Days Gone checks all the boxes of a proverbial PlayStation exclusive, but never feels like it’s stepping on anyone else’s toes,” reads our review. “Despite the games, film, and TV that you can easily draw comparisons too, Days Gone handles it all in such a way that it has its own unique identity.”
Tons of PS5 games were just revealed during Gamescom’s Opening Night Live. Check here to see all the trailers shown during the presentation.
