Over the weekend, Ubisoft surprised fans by announcing free Assassin’s Creed Mirage DLC for all platforms including PS5 and PS4. Rumor of new content was first shared in January this year by a French publication, but it was largely dismissed. However, Ubisoft has confirmed that AC Mirage is indeed getting the freebie two years after launch.
Free Assassin’s Creed Mirage DLC gets ‘later’ 2025 release date window
The French report in question claimed that Ubisoft had struck a deal with a Saudi Arabian wealth fund, as part of which it planned to release AC Mirage DLC. The developer declined to comment on the report, and it turns out, the new content is based in — you guessed it — Saudi Arabia.
The DLC will bring a new story chapter and missions set in 9th century AlUla — a real-life ancient city in Saudi Arabia that’s marked as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Ubisoft didn’t offer any further details, but did say that the DLC will come with base game improvements, and all the content will be free for everyone. A release date is set for “later” in 2025. Considering we’re entering September, it’ll be out soon.
Our guess is that we’ll get something to mark AC Mirage’s two-year anniversary in October.
