Free Dragon Age: The Veilguard Copies Being Given by Amazon

Dragon Age: The Veilguard free copies

After being handed out for free with PS Plus and Game Pass among other offers, Dragon Age: The Veilguard is being handed out for free by Amazon Australia with over 1,000 items. Between August 20 and September 2, purchasing any of the qualifying items will entitle buyers to a copy of Dragon Age: The Veilguard… unless they don’t want one, of course.

Offers of free Dragon Age: The Veilguard copies paint a bleak picture

While it’s not unusual for games to be handed out for free as part of various offers, Dragon Age: The Veilguard is an outlier in that it has bombed harder than we expected. For a game that released less than a year ago, there’s been an unprecedented amount of offers handing it out for free.

Amazon Australia isn’t the only online retailer to give Dragon Age: The Veilguard away either. The company previously had an offer in other parts of the world where Prime members could get the game for a reduced price, and then get the same amount back in Amazon credit, effectively making it free.

Players in Australia also report that Dragon Age: The Veilguard was previously handed out for free by retailer EB Games when purchasing controllers.

At this point, it feels like everyone is keen to get rid of excess inventory. Yikes!
