It looks like a free PS5 upgrade for a fan favorite PS4 RPG is incoming, if a PS Store backend leak is anything to go by. A native PS5 version of 2018’s Kingdom Come: Deliverance was spotted by a known leaker, taking players by surprise.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance native PS5 version found on PS Store backend, but will the upgrade be free?

X user PlayStation Game Size, who is known for scraping the PSN backend, seems pretty confident that Kingdom Come: Deliverance is getting a native PS5 port.

Asked when they expect the port to be officially announced, PlayStation Game Size said that it should be revealed soon, and further clarified that the entry they found in the backend was not a patch for the PS4. In other words, this is an entirely new SKU, so expect a definitive version of sorts that includes all DLC and comes with bells and whistles like visual upgrades.

As for how much Kingdom Come: Deliverance will cost on the PS5, that’s anybody’s guess right now, but it’s possible that the port will be free for existing owners on PS4 as has been the case with a large number of games. If not free, the upgrade should come at a discount for existing owners, at the very least.

So, if you were considering buying Kingdom Come: Deliverance, now might be a good time to pick up the PS4 version for a whopping $5.99 on the PS Store.
