Sony has yet to confirm the list of games leaving PS Plus Extra and Premium in August 2025, but it’s that time of the month where we share predictions for upcoming departures based on established patterns. We advise members to keep an eye on the list of potential departures below, especially fan favorite RPG The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
Games expected to leave PS Plus Extra and Premium in August 2025
As pointed out by Reddit user kayrakaanonline, The Witcher 3 was added to the service 12 months ago, and most games begin to depart the PS Plus Extra catalog around the one-year mark. Other games added 12 months ago include Wild Hearts, Cult of the Lamb, Watch Dogs 2, and Bandai Namco’s Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker and Sword Art series.
PS Plus Premium users should check out PSVR2’s Vacation Simulator, which was also added a year ago. If Job Simulator’s departure is any indication, Vacation Simulator is almost guaranteed to be leaving in August.
Then, there are games added 24 months ago, among which is Sony first-party PS4 game Dreams as well as Two Point Hospital.
Last but not least, members should wrap up Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, if they haven’t already. EA’s PS Plus deals last either exactly six months or one year. Jedi: Survivor is hitting the six-month mark in August.
As a reminder, here are the departures Sony has confirmed for July.
