The PSVR2 had launched back in February, and the platform had been getting some good reviews ever since its launch. Just in, PlayStation has dropped a new video covering the tech behind the PSVR2 and how it runs one of its exclusive games, Horizon Call of the Mountain.
Check this out:
Dive into the development of PlayStation VR2 and Horizon Call of the Mountain. Discover from a tech engineer and a game creator how they developed this next level entertainment, while also sharing their visions for the future of virtual reality! PlayStation VR2 is available now.
With the PlayStation 5 boasting haptic feedback and adaptive triggers for its DualSense controller, the PSVR2 controllers also have the same kind of feature, offering a new level of immersion for players. What’s more the haptics don’t just stop at the controllers, but on the headset as well, and players get to feel stimulus from different points in the game.
Top that off with some top notch visuals and 3D audio, and you have one heck of a next-level virtual reality experience.
Admittedly, there has been a lot of debate online when it comes to the status of VR and whether it really would be the next staple when it comes to gaming. While I think the traditional ‘games on a screen’ are going to stay for a while, I do have a feeling that VR will become more dominant once they figure out how to make the headset without a wire.
The PlayStation VR2 is now available.
