In just a couple of days, the PlayStation Store‘s Planet of the Discounts sale will end, taking away hundreds of deals for some of the best PS4 and PS5 games available on the digital storefront. That includes this PS4 port of a PS1 game that is often considered one of the best and most influential video games of all time.

Final Fantasy 7 is under $7 on the PS Store

Originally developed by Square (now known as Square Enix), Final Fantasy 7 is just $6.39 on the PS Store. That is a 60% discount off its typical $15.99 price point. PS4 and PS5 players who want to take advantage of this deal will want to act very fast. The offer ends on November 6 at 2:59 a.m. ET.

Here is a trailer and a brief description of Final Fantasy 7, giving players a glimpse of what to expect from the beloved JRPG:

“Cloud, a former member of Shinra’s military organization, SOLDIER, joins the anti-Shinra resistance group AVALANCHE, despite caring little for their motives. During one of the group’s attempts to stop the company, they learn of the return of Sephiroth, Cloud’s nemesis, and that with his reemergence, the planet is in greater danger than anyone had expected.”

When Final Fantasy 7 was originally released in 1997, it was universally acclaimed. According to the review aggregate site Metacritic, it garnered an average review score of 92 across 20 critic reviews.

This particular entry of Final Fantasy was so popular, it spawned several video game spin-offs. This includes Crisis Core, Dirge of Cerberus, and more recently, the Final Fantasy 7 Remake trilogy.

Final Fantasy 7 also got an animated film set two years after the events of the game called Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children. Released in 2005, Tetsuya Nomura directed the film, and it featured English voices from actors Steve Burton, Rachael Leigh Cook, Mena Suvari, Steve Blum, and Christy Carlson Romano.
