Underrated PS5, PS4 Adventure Game Just $2.99 on PS Store

Beyond a Steel Sky PS Store deal

An underrated PS5, PS4 hidden gem is just $2.99 in a limited-time PS Store deal that ends in a few days, and we highly recommend it. Revolution Software’s 2020 adventure game Beyond a Steel Sky is 85% off on both platforms, with the PS5 version offering streaming support to PS Plus Premium subscribers.

Beyond a Steel Sky PS Store deal ends on Thursday, August 14

For the uninitiated, Beyond a Steel Sky is a sequel to the universally-acclaimed 1994 game, Beneath a Steel Sky. Set ten years after the original, the game depicts a futuristic world with mega-cities devastated by wars and political turmoil.

Beyond a Steel Sky’s art is directed by Watchmen comics artist, Dave Gibbons. The game was created by Charles Cecil of Broken Sword fame.

Players will step into the role of Robert Foster, who is on a quest to recover an abducted child. “You have vowed to bring him home. But the trail has led you from your community of desert wasteland dwellers, to Union City, one of the last remaining mega-cities in a world ravaged by shattering wars, and political meltdown,” reads an official overview.

Beyond a Steel Sky received mostly positive reviews, but unfortunately, couldn’t meet the bar set by its predecessor (we really loved it, though). For this price, however, PS Store is offering a solid deal.
