Will the PlayStation Store ever not have a sales promotion? Probably not, which is great because they typically feature great deals for some of the best PS4 and PS5 games on the digital marketplace. That includes this fan-favorite action RPG remaster that was originally released on the PSP.
Crisis Core – Final Fantasy VII – Reunion is 60% off on PS Store
Crisis Core – Final Fantasy VII – Reunion is currently 60% off on the PS Store. That brings its price down to $19.99 from its usual $49.99 price tag. Players who want to experience the prequel to the beloved PS1 game at this price will want to act fast. The offer ends on August 14 at 2:59 a.m. ET.
“Crisis Core – Final Fantasy VII – Reunion follows the story of Zack Fair, a young warrior admired by the boy destined to save the world, trusted by men renowned as heroes of legend, and loved by the girl who holds the fate of the planet in her hands,” reads the description. “The tale of Zack’s dreams and honor—the legacy that connects him to Cloud—is revealed in full in this grand saga that has broken the limits of an HD remaster.”
This new version of Crisis Core makes some changes to the visuals and its battle system. Specifically, visuals are remastered in HD and feature new 3D models. Additionally, it includes a newly arranged soundtrack from the game’s original composer, Takeharu Ishimoto.
When Crisis Core – Final Fantasy VII – Reunion released back in 2022, it was received well by critics. According to the review aggregate site Metacritic, it garnered an average score of 78 across 81 critic reviews. In our review, we gave it a 9 out of 10.
“Considering the condition of some of Square Enix’s past remasters, Crisis Core Reunion impresses. I hope this is an indicator we can expect the company to take more care with this sort of title in the future,” reads our review.
