Delisted PS3, PS4 Shooter Returning to PS Store Soon

Playstation State of Play June

Earlier this year, Rebellion’s 2014 PS3 and PS4 shooter, Sniper Elite 3, was delisted from the PlayStation Store without any reason behind its removal. However, a recent update claims the shooter will return to the digital storefront.

PS4’s Sniper Elite 3 will return to the PS Store

According to the official Sniper Elite X (formerly Twitter) account, it announced that Sniper Elite 3 and its DLC have been brought back to the Xbox Store. This elicited concerns about its return to the PS Store, with some fans asking if the shooter would make a comeback on PlayStation platforms. In a response to a fan, it is confirmed that Rebellion is currently working to bring it back, but does not currently have specifics on when it would return.

“We are currently working on bringing the game back to the PlayStation Store and will update you in due course,” says the Sniper Elite X account.

Within this same thread, Rebellion gave an update for something Sniper Elite fans were possibly hoping for. X user @DereckMiller10 asked if there was a chance Sniper Elite V2, 3 and 4 would receive a PS5 release. Unfortunately, the company confirms that they currently do not have plans for PS5 versions of the three games.

It should be noted that this would be for the PS4 version of Sniper Elite 3. Back when we reported on the delisting, players reported that the PS3 version and all of its DLC were still available on the store.

Although Sniper Elite 3 may be away for now, several entries in the series are available on the PS Store right now. This includes Sniper Elite: Resistance, which released in January of this year.
